Verses: Psalms 116, 117, 118|1 Corinthians 2| Judges 1:5-7
TOPIC: BE READY TO FIGHT
TEXT: “And they found Adoni-bezek in Bezek: and they fought against him, and they slew the Canaanites and the Perizzites. But Adoni-bezek fled; and they pursued after him, and caught him, and cut off his thumbs and his great toes. And Adoni-bezek said, Threescore and ten kings, having their thumbs and their great toes cut off, gathered their meat under my table: as I have done, so God hath requited me. And they brought him to Jerusalem, and there he died.” Judges 1:5 – 7.
It take a battle mentality to succeed in life. Your success chapter does not open until your spiritual muscles start working. Anytime you see the unexpected, get set for battle, stop reasoning your defeat. Your mentality determines your locality. Adonibezek was able to conquer these nations because they refused to fight. Beome alert in your spirit. When there is no challenge, there is no champion. Don’t give up. When you see challenge, then get ready for change. The enemies you don’t confront, you can’t control. Adonibezek originally had Nations in his kitty, but he overthrew seventy other kings and become a king to kings. They could not confront him. They could not reason to fight.
Adonibezek stepped into the territory of Isreal to conquer them just like he had done to the other seventy kings. He thought he could add them to the list of those he had conquered. He threw the challenge and they gladly accepted it. The sound of battle is not a cry of defeat. They began to fight and Adonibezek fled. He fled because Israel knew their God. He fled because Israel was ready to guard their land. He fled because Israel refused to close their mouth. Israel knew who was behind them and they fought Adonibezek and God gave them victory. If only you will fight, in every battle, God gives Believers victory.
My Father, as I pray, I wake up my spiritual muscles to fight in Jesus name.
